Chickens galore

We got three new chickens yesterday. This is one of them. A cream legbar. When she starts to lay we should get some blue/ green eggs from her. At the moment she is cowering at the far end of the chicken run with no intention of mixing with the rest of the flock. I considered counselling but decided that she would benefit in the long-run from sorting out her own friendship issues. Maybe chickens have got it right - a few viscious pecks and everyone in the flock knows where they stand and life can cntinue as normal. Sounds harsh??

Back to work tomorrow. Maybe I'll have to introduce a few sharp pecks ( verbal of course) of my own just to re-establish who's boss in the classroom.
